Cellular Origins, a company created and incubated by TTP Group, raises USD 40 million in oversubscribed Series A round

Cambridge, United Kingdom, 9th December 2025 - Cellular Origins, a pioneering company enabling the manufacture of advanced therapies at scale and a spin out of TTP Group, today announced the successful close of its oversubscribed Series A financing round, raising USD 40 million.

Advanced therapies are transforming medicine, yet their manufacture remains labour-intensive, error prone and variable, as digital and automation breakthroughs have not yet been adopted. Additionally, large pharmaceutical companies require a manufacturing platform that provides the freedom to acquire leading therapy assets, confident that the platform's architecture gives the flexibility and reliability needed for commercial-scale production. Recognising these challenges and drawing on its longstanding expertise in bioprocessing, TTP Group founded Cellular Origins to develop a proprietary, flexible and modular manufacturing platform. Strong market demand has led to its initial application in cell therapies.

Dr. Sam Hyde, CEO of TTP Group, commented, "This oversubscribed round is a testament to Cellular Origins' exceptional team and innovation. With the funding Cellular Origins is positioned to expand its commercial team, broaden the range of unit operations into its platform, and scale up globally," he said. "For TTP Group, this demonstrates our unique ability to build and nurture businesses that deliver breakthrough technologies, transform them into market-leading products, and create significant value."

The announcement follows the recent acquisition of Cellular Highways by STEMCELL Technologies. Cellular Highways is a further example of TTP Group’s track record in building successful, valuable businesses in the life sciences sector and underlines TTP Group’s commitment to creating and incubating ventures that become global leaders that solve industry problems.

TTP Group stands apart as the engine behind trailblazing companies, combining deep technical expertise with commercial insight and its enduring inventive culture drives the creation of technologies and products that make a difference for society.
